Poverty, Prosperity, and Pride

In Deuteronomy 8, Moses reminds Israel how God used the experience of poverty and adversity in the wilderness to test and discipline His people. Those trials were preparing Israel for future temptations that will come with material prosperity once they enter the Promised Land. In this message, Pastor Ben invites us to contemplate what life’s difficulties reveal about our Christian commitment and spiritual maturity before reflecting on the spiritual dangers that accompany the blessings of material prosperity.
