In the first four verses of Luke's gospel, he tells us that he writes to encourage Theophilus that Christian faith is firmly grounded in the historical realities of, and eyewitness testimony to, Jesus’ life, death, resurrection, and ascension. In this first message of the Dominion series, Pastor Ben introduces us to the evangelist, Luke, and his gospel. Through this introduction, we learn that the gospel of Jesus Christ is deeply grounded in historical events that took place at a specific time and place in history, so that we, too, may be confident that the gospel is not only true, but that in receiving it, we become members of God’s very own forever family.
