Samaritan's Purse Disaster Relief

Calvary Baptist Church is partnering with Samaritan's Purse for local hurricane relief. This will be a massive relief effort based out of our Calvary campus for the next month or so. We will be hosting teams from all over who want to come and help with the recovery efforts (please see more below). All of our campus classroom space will be used to house relief workers. Samaritan's Purse will be feeding them daily as well as managing clean-up projects in the community. We are thrilled to partner with this well-known and highly respected Christian relief organization to restore our community for the glory of King Jesus!

We are in need of volunteers for the following:

  • Daily Disaster Relief (both day and overnight volunteers)
  • Daily Call Center Volunteers
  • Laundry/Linen Service Volunteers

Please see below for more information.

How to help/volunteer...

Day Disaster Relief Volunteers

Day volunteers may come to the Calvary Baptist Church Fellowship Hall and register as a volunteer.

Each volunteer will be required to attend orientation (only once for the duration of the relief effort). Orientation is offered daily at 7:30 am and 12:30 pm. Day volunteers will need to bring a bag lunch.

Overnight Disaster Relief Volunteers

Call Center & Laundry Volunteers

Overnight volunteers (individuals or groups) may go to https://spvolunteer.org/project-response/699 to make a reservation for staying at our campus and working on local projects through Samaritan's Purse.

Overnight volunteers will be housed on the Calvary campus. Volunteers will be provided breakfast, a bag lunch, and dinner.
  1. We are in need of daily call-center volunteers to answer incoming calls for community needs.
  2. We also need volunteers willing to wash the Samaritan’s Purse T-shirts each day for the overnight volunteers. Washing may be done at the church campus if you would like to help out with that need.
