Universal Lord

Philippians 2.5-11 is the centerpiece of the entire letter. In it, the apostle Paul points to Jesus as the ultimate example of humility in His selfless abandonment of His eternal glory to take on human nature and die by crucifixion. And because of Jesus' selfless obedience, God the Father has both raised Jesus from the dead and enthroned Him at the place of highest authority.
