Kingdom Conquest: Kid's Devotional
5-Day Bible Reading Plan and Devotional Guide
Based on the Unstoppable Kingdom of Christ — Luke 10
Day 1: The King Who Reclaims All Things
Reading: Genesis 11:1-9; Deuteronomy 32:8-9; Luke 10:1-2
Devotional: Long ago at the Tower of Babel, people tried to build a giant tower instead of listening to God. God spread them out across the earth and let the nations walk their own way. But God never forgot about them. Sending seventy helpers in Luke 10 shows us that Jesus came to rescue people from every single country and neighborhood. The same King who was in charge back then is fixing what was broken today. No matter how big a problem looks in your school, your family, or your heart, Jesus is strong enough to bring His good control back to it.
Day 2: The Harvest Is Not Optional
Reading: Numbers 11:16-17; Matthew 9:35-38; Luke 10:2-3
Devotional: Imagine a giant field of ripe apples that need to be picked before they go bad. That is how Jesus views people who do not know Him yet. The problem is not that there are no apples, but that there are not enough helpers to pick them. Jesus tells us to pray hard for God to send out more helpers. When you pray this way, God changes your own heart too. Before you ask God to send someone else to share His love with your friends or classmates, take a minute to pray and ask if He wants to use you to help them today.
Day 3: Sent as Sheep Among Wolves
Reading: Psalm 82; Romans 1:18-25; Luke 10:3-12
Devotional: Living for Jesus is not always easy or popular. Jesus says being His helper is like being a gentle lamb in a field of wolves. The world can be mean and full of bad choices, but Jesus does not ask you to fight back with anger or bossy behavior. He asks you to trust Him completely. Every time you show kindness, tell the truth, or refuse to go along with something wrong, you show how good God is. You do not have to be scared of the bad things in the world because Jesus has already won the total victory.
Day 4: Authority, Joy, and the Name Written in Heaven
Reading: Ephesians 6:10-18; Revelation 21:1-5; Luke 10:17-20
Devotional: The seventy helpers came back super excited because they saw God do amazing things and defeat bad forces through Jesus. Jesus was happy for them, but He reminded them of something even bigger to celebrate: their names were written in God's book in heaven. Doing cool things for God feels great, but the absolute best news is that you belong to Him forever. One day, Jesus will wipe away every tear, sad thought, and painful feeling for good. Knowing you have a home with God forever gives you joy that never runs out, even on hard days.
Day 5: Revealed to Children — The Wisdom of the Cross
Reading: 1 Corinthians 1:18-31; Luke 10:21-24
Devotional: Some people think they are too smart or important to need God. But God designed His rescue plan so that even a kid can understand and trust Him. The cross might look silly to people who rely on their own strength, but to us, it shows God's amazing power and love. Kings and leaders from long ago wished they could see the good news of Jesus that you know today. God gave you this wonderful gift simply because He loves you. Let that truth make you thankful, kind, and excited to share Jesus with everyone around you.
