Pastor Ben Kimmell began providing pulpit supply at Calvary in October, 2009.  He is the grandson of founding member Lena Murphy.  Ben and his family relocated to Perry in December of 2008 after he completed a Master of Divinity with Specialization in Christian Thought at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.  He was called as interim pastor in 2010, and as Pastor at Calvary in the Spring of 2011.  Ben has been married to his lovely wife, Anna, since 2000.  Together they have three children - Jeremiah, Lena, and Luke.

Pastor Ben is a full-time graduate student in the Department of Philosophy at Florida State University where he received a Master of Arts in Philosophy in May 2011 and is currently a Ph.D. candidate researching the problem of human freedom and divine foreknowledge. 

Pastor Ben desires to make the name and cosmic glory of Christ known and worshipped among all the nations of the earth through biblical exposition, cultural apologetics, evangelism, and missions.  

Prior to rejoining the fellowship at Calvary, Ben served as the Associate Pastor at Williams Boulevard Baptist Church in Kenner, LA.

Brother Don Bishop is our Associate Pastor and Worship Leader. Brother Don is a gifted worship leader and has led the music ministries at Calvary Baptist Church since 2001. He has toured professionally as a gospel music vocalist and leads a blended worship style at Calvary that leverages the best of both traditional and contemporary Christ-centered worship forms for the exaltation of Jesus and the celebration His gospel. Bro.  Don is married to his lovely wife Allison and together they have three children, Austin, Dena and Dawson.

Allison has been Calvary's AWANA Commander since founding this vital ministry in 2008. Under her leadership, Calvary AWANA has grown from a group of about a dozen kids and youth to over 150 local young people being reached and discipled each week as God's unshakeable Word is sown into the fertile soil of their young hearts. Allison has taught a number of expositional Bible studies for women at Calvary and also serves as a musician and vocalist in the Calvary adult choir.
